Hello Legion Gamers!

Time sure flies. It seems as if just yesterday, Steam had its June Next Fest, and now we're already in October, and the new Next Fest is here!

Same as it usually is with Next Fest, this one is less about sales and discounts and more about free demos and trying out the upcoming games.

And there are plenty, even in the trailer, there are Crisol: Theater of Idols and Carnival Hunt for @DracoTarot, Block Block Block for @Telomina, Warhammer 40,000 Mechanicus II for @ChristianRasmussen, HoMM Olden Era for @miskkie, and even My Little Puppy that I wrote about before. So it is a good opportunity to try the upcoming games for free before we move into the scary stuff at the end of the month 😉

Though upon closer inspection, the genre mix in this one is not that large (for example, I don't think I've seen and 3rd-person RPGs), so I could not find something for everyone. Still, I hope that you @SKYTRiXSHA, @ZaidH, @uptjackmalo, @tntiseverywere, @RatlleRo, @AgariciRo and @Cysero will find something that you like here, so here is your tag!

And @Samu07 and @BananaSaber, I will tag you again as well, maybe you'll spot a demo you'd want to try on your new Legion laptops 😊

So many games familiar from the forums here! Mad King Redemption is new to me and looks quite nice.

@miskkie 2.5D is an interesting touch, usually games like this are either scroll or isometric. Looks like Absolum may have strong competition if this game turns out good.

Long drive North looks a bit interesting. Rather than the block game I think the garden one looks like something for me this fall. I've already started playing the Heroes of Might and Magic demo and I really like it! Just wish they really would have gone 100% on the audio files from the original one. It feels like the original one gets cut off.

@Telomina you're welcome! I am waiting for Everdream Village full release before I play it. In the meantime, I wanted to check out STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar, as Little Rocket Lab did not really hook me.

@Telomina Long drive North caught my attention too, but upon closer inspection, I did not see enough purely RV elements, at least, not in the trailer. Looks like a more generic survival, The Long Dark: RV edition, sort of. I mean, in the trailer, the character even sleeps in a sleeping bag outside, why? 🤨

HoMM Olden Era has many people excited; it's been a while since we had anything from the HoMM universe to play. As for the music, I read that it may simply not be implemented everywhere in the game yet, so it is more being cut off because you move to the point in the game where no audio files are pulled for. But I have not tried it, so can't say for sure. Does this sound about right to you?

@tntiseverywere Why 🤑? Most of those are free demos. Though I'd be annoyed if I tried some demo and liked it, and then it turned out the game costs a lot to buy a full version 😅

Ah no, hmm. I mean more per audio file. Like you pick something up- sound. It's a new day- sound. Like they're just made shorter.

Im sad to hear the music will disappear later however.

I do have the story of seasons grand bazaar. I bought it myself. The limited edition. But these game i normally only play a bit here and there until one month I go full binge play and complete it. But that normally doesnt happen until after a few months.


Thank You! This is a new ambassador program. So its the first time I've done it for them. Ive been on other steam game pages once or twice. I was in talks about some more of those but that pr company wanted a 3 year ownership to my video and I wasn't willing to offer that. Especially not for free.
